Mount Tapyas, The Philliphines

This is just a mini hill of just under 750 steps but still a nice wander all the same. Glad I set off at 8am as by the time I reached the top it was roasting already! Lovely view though, had perfect 360 visibility.

This little hide away was the icing on the cake though. Chilled here for a good three hours catching up on my journal and watching the Alpine swifts weave in and out of the little open hut. They were completely unperturbed by my presence as they searched high and low for bugs. A few birds of prey hovered over head using the heat air currents to their advantage as they lazed around in the open sky.
